Clevelanc Metroparks Zoo, 3900 Wildlilfe Way, Cleveland (At main entrance make immediate right at "Welcome" sign. Follow drive all the way to tree line. Park at "What To Do With All The Poo?" sign.)
Join us at the Cleveland Zoo to learn how large scale composting works.

Steps and best management practices to discourage bad bugs and encourage good bugs will be covered.

This workshop will discuss crops that can be produced in the fall and how and when to plant them. Strategies on how to extend the growing season will be covered.

Urban Agriculture Workshop - Disease Prevention
Shaffer-Miles Community Garden, E. 120th St. and Miles Ave., Cleveland
Plant diseases can hurt the yields in your garden. Types of diseases, life cycles, and appropriate actions to deter disease problems for the gardener will be discussed.

Urban Agriculture Workshop - Hot Composting
Kinsman Farm, E. 82nd St. and Higbee Ave., Cleveland
Advanced composting methods will be discussed including managing a hot compost bin.

Urban Agriculture Workshop - Putting the Garden to Bed
Canterbury Community Garden, 2530 Canterbury Rd., Cleveland Heights
What you do now to your garden can greatly affect your production next year. This workshop will discuss cover crops, soil amendments, soil building, sanitation, and pest control for success next year.
