Family Nutrition Program
What is FNP?
The Family Nutrition Program is a federally funded nutrition education program. It is a joint partnership between the Ohio Department of Human Services and Ohio State University Extension in an effort to improve the level of nutrition education of families and individuals who are food stamp recipients or eligible non- participants. The program is carried out by the Ohio State University Extension.
Who can participate in FNP in Cuyahoga County? FNP provides services to limited- resource elderly persons and adults without young children.
Who teaches FNP classes?
A professional with training and experience in home economics, nutrition, and/or education, teaches all of the FNP classes.
