Plant A Row Garden
The Plant A Row (PAR) Garden on River Road behind the Community House in Gates Mills (map) is one of many such gardens all over the United States that aim to provide fresh produce to people in need. The PAR Garden also offers educational programs during the summer through the Gates Mills Day Camp and community workshops. In 2007, Master Gardeners grew and donated over 1300 pounds of fresh vegetables.
Plant A Row Work Days - Saturdays, May 17 & 31, 2008, 1-4 p.m., both days
We welcome community members, as well as Master Gardeners, who wish to help plant and cultivate our 2008 garden to join us either or both days.

Grassroots Gardening
Master Gardeners work with the OSU Extension's Community Gardening Program. A diverse group of people and garden groups participate in gardens across Cuyahoga County; provide workshops on herbs, vegetables, winter gardening, etc.; assist in community and market gardens; and help the gardeners in preparing proposals to submit for presentations at the American Community Gardening Association's State Conference.
