Special Volunteer Opportunities

Check out the Volunteer Center for these special volunteering opportunities:

  • Shaker Family Center - Teachers Advising Teachers - Master Gardeners are needed to assist staff in preparing and conducting horticultural programs for children.
  • Gardenview Horticultural Park (flyer) - May 9 and 23 - Garden Activity and Public Outreach - clean up help is needed.
  • Community Gardening Program - May 16 and 17 - assistance is needed for plant distribution, see details.
  • Plant A Row Work Days - May 17 and 31 - We welcome Master Gardeners and community members who wish to help plant and cultivate our 2008 garden to join us either or both days, see details.

Library Additions

Several new books have been added to the Master Gardener library at the OSU Extension office.  Do not forget that this extensive resource is available to Master Gardeners to conduct personal research, not just for the HotLine.  The books may not be checked out for home use.

This part of the web site is designed primarily for current Master Gardeners in order to inform them of programs, events and information available only to Master Gardeners.  However, prospective members and the public may find some of the material of interest.

• Advanced Training (10 hours required annually)
• Volunteer Center - Events at which Master Gardeners may volunteer (20 hours required annually), including descriptions of volunteer activities
