  4. Dig In! Applications Open

    Dig In! helps community members gain the knowledge and skills necessary to plan, design, and build a thriving and sustainable community garden. This training is a requirement to have a garden in the Summer Sprout program. Please fill out one application per garden. This training is scheduled to take place on Tuesday evenings from 6:00pm to 8:00pm starting on April 8th and ending on June 3rd (9 weeks total). Class will take a hybrid format.

  5. Inherited Land Library Office Hours

    The Cuyahoga County Extension office in partnership with the United States Department of Agriculture’s Cleveland Farm Service Agency (USDA FSA) is hosting office hours for local residents who may be inheriting land zoned for agriculture in or out of state at the Fleet branch of the Cleveland Public Library. Topics of discussion will include the FSA Heirs’ Property Relending Program as well as finding your newly inherited land, trusts and legal considerations, land leasing, cash rents and potential production systems.

  6. Market Gardener Training

    Applications are due January 3rd COB, Online or hard copy mailed to the extension office. In this training, participants will gain a strong understanding of land access, agricultural production, season extension, good agricultural practices, marketing, business planning, and be provided with other resources to develop a sustainable agricultural enterprise.

  8. Summer Sprout Gardening Program Suspended

    As of August 1, 2024 the Summer Sprout Community Gardening Program will be temporarily suspended. This decision was made based on funding complications. As always, the OSU Extension Master Gardener Volunteers are available to answer any gardening questions at (216)429-8200.
