  1. Emergency Assistance is Available for Families Affected by COVID-19

    Emergency Assistance is temporarily available for families affected by COVID-19, through the Prevention, Retention, and Contingency (PRC) program with Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) funding. While limited funding is available, individuals meeting eligibility requirements may receive funds to help meet essential needs in the form of a voucher.

    The deadline to apply is November 19, 2021.

  2. 2021 Great Apple Crunch Registration is Open

    Looking for a fun way to support farm to school, Ohio farmers, and resilient communities? Join more than 300,000 Ohio youth and adults, and crunch into local apples at noon on Thursday, Oct. 14 at schools, early care sites, colleges, and hospitals across Ohio (and the region) to celebrate Farm to School Month and local food in cafeterias. It’s simple and easy to participate. Register online, purchase local apples, and crunch in October.

  3. New Summer Sprout Community Garden Application is Available

    Cleveland's community gardening program, Summer Sprout, is accepting applications for year 2022.

    The application is in 3 parts. All three are due by July 28, 2021.

  4. Ohio Victory Garden Seed Pick-Up

    The Ohio Department of Agriculture is working with OSU Extension to make seed samples available for people to garden. The seeds are packaged to provide one person seed to try out. They are not full seed packets.  Each 9x6 envelope contains 3 sample-portions of 3 different seeds. Seeds types will include:

  5. Applications for Dig In! Training Program Are Open!

    Dig In! helps community members gain the knowledge and skills necessary to plan, design, and build a thriving and sustainable community garden. Please fill out one application per person.     This Class is a Requirement for New Garden Leaders as part of Summer Sprout Program.

  7. OSU Extension Cancels In-Person Programming Until January 15, 2021

    In an effort to keep our employees, volunteers, and communities safe, effective December 7, 2020, all OSU Extension-hosted meetings and events will be canceled, postponed, or held virtually until January 15, 2021. This includes 4-H club meetings and events, as well as Master Gardener Volunteer meetings and events.

    Join Robin Stone on July 6th - 10th, 2020  for a 4-H STEM Challenge.

    All challenges are completed at home from materials that can be found at home or from the dollar store.
