Britiny Hubbard, a Cleveland native, joined OSU Extensions – Cuyahoga County as the Program Coordinator for the Summer Sprout Community Garden Program in November of 2021. In 2019, Britiny graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Global Health Studies from Allegheny College. During her time at Allegheny, she discovered her calling to learn more about Cleveland’s food systems in hopes to help combat food insecurity. For the past two years, she worked as the Farmers Market Manager at the Old Brooklyn Farmers Market where she was able to design the market through the lens of the Social Determinants of Health. Now, her passions have led her to OSU-Extensions, where she is committed to assisting community gardens throughout the Cuyahoga County.
