OSU Extension, Cuyahoga County offers community nutrition programming that provides participants with the tools and resources to improve their overall health by learning to make healthier food choices, prepare healthier meals, better manage their food budget, and improve their food safety practices.
SNAP-Ed (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education) is a free nutrition education program for Cuyahoga County residents who receive or are eligible to receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits (previously known as Food Stamps). The program also is available to schools and community sites that meet certain free/reduced lunch criteria.
EFNEP (Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program) is a free nutrition education program for low-income adults with children and for youth in schools where a majority of the students qualify for free/reduced lunch. OSU Extension, Cuyahoga County also offers EFNEP programs for non-English speaking families (currently available in Spanish).
